Getting started

Install from the App Store

Install from the Shopify App Store and choose a plan. You can start on the Free plan.

Set up a gift and its conditions

Choose a gift product and a condition such as "¥10,000 or more", then save. The setup guide in the app walks you through the rest.

Turn on the app embed

Turn on "Omake gift auto-add" in the theme editor and it goes live in your store.

I installed the app, but no banner or gift shows up in my store.

Turn on "Omake gift auto-add" under "App embeds" in the theme editor. If you open the theme editor from the link in the setup guide in Omake, it opens with the embed already turned on.

I can't select "Add automatically".

So that shoppers are never charged without agreeing, adding automatically is only available when the gift product is priced at ¥0. Set the gift product's price to ¥0, or let shoppers choose with a checkbox or dialog.

Could someone buy just the gift without meeting the conditions?

No. Carts that don't meet the conditions, or that contain more gifts than allowed, are stopped at checkout, and the shopper sees the reason.

What language do international shoppers see?

Omake includes text in Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, French, German, and Spanish, and switches to match the shopper's language. Other languages are shown in English.

What's the difference between the Free and Pro plans?

The Free plan lets you create 1 gift rule with 1 condition, using cart total, item count, or product tags. The Pro plan ($3.99/month with a 14-day free trial) lets you create up to 5 gift rules with priority, combine conditions, use collections, customer tags, login status, and more, and schedule when gifts are available.
